Additional Information:
The Richfield Historical Society was started in 1997 and is staffed entirely by volunteers. The membership consists of over 300 individuals. The main purpose of the Society is to preserve and share the history of Richfield, Wisconsin, and its surrounding communities. The home of the historic buildings restored and maintained by this organization is the Richfield Historical Park. The primary building in the Park is the over 150-year-old Messer/Mayer Mill which has all of its original milling equipment intact. At some time in the future, the goal is to have this mill operational once the foundation is restored. Interesting monthly programs are held to which everyone is invited. Events are held at the Park.
